100 Books in 2025: Is It Possible?

One of my biggest goals for 2025 is to read 100 books throughout the year. Yes, you read that right 100 books! At first glance, it sounds ambitious, maybe even a little crazy, but I believe it’s entirely possible. Let me break down exactly how I plan to make this happen and maybe even inspire you to set your own book goal for 2025!

Step 1: Build a Book List That Excites Me

The first step is creating a book list that sparks my interest. I’m starting 2025 with a lineup of books I’m genuinely excited to read and will keep adding to it as I discover more gems.

Here’s my rule: if it’s boring, I’m dropping it.

Why waste time trudging through a book that doesn’t hold my attention? Life’s too short for that. If I force myself to finish something that bores me, I’ll only get frustrated and it’ll throw off my momentum. So, my focus will be on books that grab me from the start.

Step 2: Dedicate Time to Read Every Day

To stay on track, I’m aiming to spend at least 1-2 hours a day reading. On busier days, I’ll scale it back to 20-30 minutes or just a chapter or two. Consistency is the key.

Step 3: Track My Progress

Organization is going to be essential, especially since 2025 is shaping up to be a busy year. I plan to use a Reading Tracker or a Reading Journal to stay on top of my progress. This will keep me motivated, help me visualize how far I’ve come, and make it easier to hit smaller milestones.

Step 4: Leverage My “Down Time

I’m determined to make the most of those “in-between” moments like waiting in line, commuting, or during work breaks. I always carry a book (or two) with me for “just in case” moments. You never know when an opportunity to sneak in some pages might pop up!

Step 5: Use Audiobooks

Audiobooks are my secret weapon. Apps like Libby and Audible have completely changed the game for me. I can listen while working, running errands, or even doing housework. Some people debate whether listening counts as “reading,” but for me, it’s just another way to dive into a great story.

Step 6: Limit Social Media and Create Reading Spaces

One of my side goals is to take breaks from social media, and replacing that screen time with reading is a no-brainer. I’m also creating a cozy reading nook at home and planning to explore new reading spots like the library, riverside parks, or even my car during lunch breaks at work. These changes will help me stay focused and make reading feel like a treat rather than a task.

How I’ll Stay Motivated

I’m part of two book clubs, which will help me stay accountable and introduce me to new genres and authors. Plus, having others to share my reading journey with keeps things exciting.

What Are Your Book Goals for 2025?

With this plan, I feel confident that I can hit my goal of reading 100 books in 2025. But what about you? Do you have a reading goal for the new year? If not, why not start now? Whether it’s 10 books or 100, let’s make 2025 the year we turn the page to something incredible.

Let me know your goals or share your favorite book recommendations I’d love to hear them!
